There are plenty of external drives on the market, but when it comes to design, one manufacturer stands above all others, Lacie. And at this years CES in Las Vegas, they seem to have done it all over again. We welcome possibly the sexiest hard-drive of all time, the new Lacie Bladerunner Hard Drive.

The limited edition (only 9, 999 will be made and sold) hard drive is something a little bit different. The dark, all aluminium body is helped in design by Philippe Starck, and features ‘fins’, which not only make it look out of this world, but also aid in cooling due to the ‘radiator effect’ (no fans or noise here). In the centre, a rounded body (housing the hardware) can be seen a little like a large kidney!

Connection on the Lacie Blade Runner comes via USB 3.0, and naturally a power connection, internally you will find a 4TB high-speed hard drive. Available for a touch over $300, each purchase will also come with 10GB free of online storage.
