The Leica D-Lux is based around the Panasonic LX7 and features a 24-90mm (35mm equivalent) f/1.4-2.3 fixed zoom lens, 1.7-inch CMOS image sensor, manual control dials & full HD video functionality. It also comes with the aptly named RAW still image capture allowing you to capture as closely and accurately as possible the physical information about light intensity and colour of the scene being photographed (aka making it as realistic to what you see as possible).
As far as aesthetics are concerned the Leica’s retro-look shell is customised with gunmetal grey, along with a G-Star RAW branded leather strap, and a very cool old-school looking leather case. The little touches don’t stop there with several “Leica by G-Star RAW” & “RAW Edition” logos positioned around the camera, alongside the iconic red Leica logo.
The Leica D-Lux 6 G-Star RAW retails at £840 but offers the user a functional and versatile piece of equipment, with a funky edge. We for one love it.
