Skullcandy Crusher Headphone Review
Skullcandy are becoming more and more of a household brand in personal electronics, and they have just released the new Skullcandy ‘Crusher’ headphones, packed with their patent-pending bass extension driver, these headphones will quite literally shake the room.
Trying to push themselves up there with the likes of Sennheiser, Bose and Beats, Skullcandy are producing audio quality in their headphones that rivals many and leaves little competition, and the Skullcandy Crusher headphones are no exception. As well as being stylish and unobtrusive when listening on the go, Crusher incorporates dual ear cup articulation and a precise selection of materials to deliver long-lasting comfort without affecting sound quality and maintaining a near perfect noise-isolating seal. A further feature is the foldable hinge that breaks the headphones down to 40 percent of its extended size, along with the addition of a removable 4.5mm cable, means these are perfect for travel. Alongside the headphone cable is a microphone and button, which makes these headphones usable with your phone or tablet as well as ipod/mp3 player.
However, the most impressive feature on the Crusher, is the switchable and controllable ‘Bass extension driver’, giving you an aural experience like no other and feel as if you’re in the latest club you now fight to avoid. The bass extension driver is such a focus and talking point that Skullcandy created a celebrity reaction video showing the shock on the faces of people who experience it. Having witnessed this very reaction when showing friends I can vouch that it really is quite something.
The Skullcandy Crusher headphones come in black, white, red, snakeskin and real-tree camo at a price range of £89.99-£149.99 depending on the colour choice. The look may be a bit subjective, but the quality and sound is very much real.
