FireFox 3.6 Officially Released

At last FireFox has dropped the beta tag from 3.6 and you can no download the latest incarnation of the worlds ‘favourite’ browser from .

Amongst the new heap of features are;

  • Personas – Which are basically themes
  • Improved Rendering speed
  • Improved Javascript support
  • HTML5 video support

England Match to be Internet Only

Well it seems the Setanta fall-out continues. It has now been confirmed that England’s next World Cup qualifier in Ukraine, this coming Saturday will be shown exclusively live on the internet who will have to pay for the privilege.

This is the first time an England match has not been available on television. Originally Setanta held the rights in the UK but after it’s demise a few months ago, none of the major stations were willing to pay the amount asked by Kentaro in the Ukraine. UK ISP Disconnecting Customers for Illegal File Sharing

Hull based, UK ISP (internet Service Provider) Karoo has taken a new, tough stance by dis-connecting suspected illegal file sharers without warning. Customers can have their service restored by signing a decleration promising not to repeat the offense.

This new move has been supported by the music and film industry, many technology insiders have deemed the move ‘unfair’ and ‘harsh’. Karoo however maintains it’s stance is the “the responsible approach”.
